Position:
FULL-TIME Chief Financial Officer in Administration
Purpose:
The hospital CFO is assigned financial responsibility for the hospital. The CFO administers, directs and monitors all hospital financial activities and keeps the CEO, Administrative Team, and the hospital Board informed of the financial condition of the facility.
Qualifications:
  1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. MBA or MHA preferred. Active CPA preferred.
  2. Minimum of five years of progressive senior management or executive experience in accounting or finance in a hospital or healthcare organization required.
  3. Strong financial and operational knowledge and experience in a Rural health or critical Access Hospital environment preferred.
  4. Current knowledge of state and federal laws and regulations that apply to financial practice in healthcare, including FEMA. FEMA experience preferred. Current knowledge of public hospital service district rules, regulations and practices.
  5. Ability to develop effective working relationships with all levels of employees and customers.
  6. Ability to work long and irregular hours.
  7. Ability to understand, speak, read and write in English. 11. Ability to operate office machinery, such as telephones, photocopiers, personal computers, printers, voice mail systems, and fax machines.
  8. Ability to work effectively under stressful conditions.Ability to manage multiple priorities.
  9. Ability to delegate.
  10. Ability to work as part of a team.
Working Conditions:
  1. Employee will be lifting and carrying up to 10 pounds approximately 5% of the day.
  2. Employee will be sitting approximately 50% of the day.
  3. Employee will be standing and walking approximately 30% of the day.
  4. Employee will be twisting, climbing, kneeling, stooping, and bending approximately 10% of the day.
  5. Employee will be reaching at or above shoulder level approximately 5% of the day.
