Position:
PRN Patient Monitor Tech in Emergency Department
Purpose:
The Patient Monitor Tech is responsible to monitor behavioral health patients, following physician and charge nurse instructions, and hospital procedure. The monitoring may involve video surveillance or 1:1 in person monitoring.
Qualifications:
  1. A high school graduate or equivalent.
  2. Able to read and write.
  3. Able to learn to work with a computer.
  4. Able to work all shifts, if needed.
  5. Currently CPR certified (and recertified annually).
  6. Currently CPI trained (and retrained annually) preferred, must obtain prior to beginning employment.
  7. Possesses positive customer service skills.
Working Conditions:
  1. Employee will be lifting and carrying up to 20 pounds approximately 1% of the day.
  2. Employee will be sitting approximately 75% of the day.
  3. Employee will be standing and walking approximately 20% of the day.
  4. Employee will be pushing and pulling approximately 2% of the day.
  5. Employee will be twisting, climbing, kneeling, stooping, and bending approximately 5% of the day.
  6. Employee will be reaching at or above shoulder level approximately 1% of the day.
